As global temperatures soar to unprecedented levels and extreme weather events impact communities worldwide, COP28 marks a crucial moment for the international community to unite, realign strategies, and accelerate efforts to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
COP28 is where the world will take stock of progress on the Paris Agreement and chart a course of action to dramatically reduce emissions and protect lives and livelihoods.
Hosted by the United Arab Emirates, this year’s United Nations Climate Change Conference will take place from 30 November to 12 December in Dubai.
COP28 brings together leaders from governments, businesses, NGOs and civil society to find concrete solutions to climate change, the defining issue of our time.
Cities Alliance will actively participate, alongside our members and partners, focusing our commitment to spotlighting climate action within the informal sector and collaborating with local urban communities, particularly those more vulnerable.
