As CEO of ICChange, he has driven initiatives like CeraMaji and the Kenya Trauma Program, combining philanthropy, innovation, and cross-sector partnerships to create lasting social impact.

Prof. Susan Kibue is a senior lecturer in Architecture with over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic validation. She has contributed to architecture education across Africa and beyond, with a strong focus on low-cost housing, post-occupancy evaluation, and collaborative design practice.

Dr. Nkatha brings over 15 years of experience across academia, public service, and consultancy, shaping national and regional strategies across Africa. Her work integrates ESG, climate resilience, sustainable housing, and urban transformation, translating evidence-based strategy into practical, scalable solutions.

Prof. Jason Corburn is the Chair of the SDI Kenya Board of Trustees and a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in urban health and planning. He leads the Richmond Health Equity Project and has extensive experience advising global organizations on urban health equity and climate justice.

Jack Makau is an Associate Director at SDI Kenya, with 22 years of experience in informal settlement enumeration and mapping across Africa. His work includes leading projects like Kisumu's citywide enumeration and innovative urban development in Nairobi’s Mukuru settlement.

Nancy Njoki Wairimu, a National Federation Leader from Mathare, is a Muungano Women leader and treasurer of Muungano Wa Bondeni. She excels in community mobilization, civic education, and data collection, with key roles in the Mukuru Special Planning Area and Mathare slum projects.

Byron Kamau is a Field Officer for Nakuru County at SDI Kenya, with over five years of experience in community and social development.

Leonard Momany is an Office Assistant at SDI Kenya with over 10 years of experience in administrative support, excelling in managing office operations and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Kamila Gojobe, a leader with Muungano Wa Wanavijiji from Mukuru Viwandani, mentors youth through the DREAMS program. She has led initiatives such as the Ward Climate Change Planning Committee and a peace campaign during the 2022 elections.

Tabitha Wakesho Mwandango is the Livelihoods and Grants Manager at SDI Kenya, with over ten years of expertise in finance and grants administration. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and is a CPA Finalist.

Joe Muturi is the Global Chair of the SDI Network and National Coordinator of Muungano wa Wanavijiji. A social activist with extensive experience in urban projects, he has played a key role in the Mukuru Special Planning Area and advocates for climate change awareness and global federation efforts.

Sarah Ouma is a Communication Manager at SDI Kenya with over 7 years of experience in communications and journalism. She holds a Master’s in Development Communication and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Nairobi.

Michelle Koyaro is a Research Programs Officer at SDI Kenya with a BSc in Urban and Regional Planning, focusing on evidence-informed research for sustainable urban development.

Michael Wera is a Program Officer: City and Settlement Planning at SDI Kenya, specializing in urban planning and GIS analysis. He holds a B.A. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Nairobi and has extensive experience in data analysis and community engagement.

Lizian Onyango is a Field Officer for Kisumu County at SDI Kenya with over 5 years of experience in community development.

Leah Karaka is an experienced HR, Procurement and Admin Manager with over 9 years of experience, known for optimizing organizational processes, advocating for social equity, and driving efficiency at SDI Kenya and Muungano wa Wanavijiji. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and various professional certifications, demonstrating expertise in HR strategies, procurement and administrative operations.

Joseph Kimani is the Executive Director of SDI Kenya, with over 20 years of experience in community organizing, peacebuilding, and economic development. He holds a Master’s in Community Economic Development and has significantly influenced major projects, including the Mukuru Special Planning Area.

Kilion Nyambuga is a City and Settlement Planning Manager and a Graduate Urban and Regional Planner from the University of Nairobi. Since 2013, he has worked with SDI Kenya on research and planning, supporting data management transitions and peer learning exchanges across Africa.

Milka Kori is an urban planner focused on sustainable urban development, integrating data analysis and research to improve urban health, resilience, and equity. Their work emphasizes placemaking, community engagement, and creating spaces that promote sustainability and well-being in cities.

Christopher Kaminda Mutuku is a Finance Assistant at SDI Kenya, handling financial operations and reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from KCA University and is a CPA Finalist from Strathmore University.
